It’s been just over two months since I’ve made a post here on WPM. That’s not to say that I haven’t been busy…in fact, it’s been the opposite, but it was never my intention to be away from WPM for so long, and to those readers receiving this via feed readers or email subscription, I sincerely thank you for sticking with me during my break. Now let’s get back into the swing of things…

Free Theme Download Fixes
Within the last several days, I have had two separate users report that they were not able to download the Video Producer – Double Feature theme, and that’s no good. I am currently working on a fix for this and should be back up by the time you read this.
WPM Theme Change
As noted by this post, I am currently using (or was using) the Structure theme by Justin Tadlock. I respect Justin’s WordPress theme work greatly, but it’s time to update the look of this site, and it’s going to take a bit of planning as I have heavily modified the Structure theme files.
*Note: If you can avoid it, do not hack your theme files with anything you’d like to keep during a WordPress redesign. Use widgets instead;)
I am growing increasingly attracted to minimalist theme design, and most likely that is what will guide the new look of WordPress Modder, only time will tell.

I argee, I really prefer clean minimalist themes as well. I think maybe it is just because so many new bloggers clog their sidebars with every entrecard, money-making widget they can get their hands on. It is a refreshing blog that tidies things up a bit.
