Share WordPress – Find and Promote WordPress Tips and Tools

Great WordPress ResourcesThere are many WordPress resource sites, just take my own site for example. However, I’m writing today to share a unique twist on WordPress resource sites. It’s called ShareWP.info and was built by a friend of mine and also the developer behind the very popular web resource site, ShareBrain.info.

The difference between ShareWP and other wordpress resource sites is that users can share their favorite wordpress site links (including your own…hint..hint), and then you can vote for your favorite submissions, and others can vote for yours.

The short story is that it’s a great resource to learn about wordpress related tips and tools, and a great promotional tool for your own wordpress related site. If you find that ShareWP is a valuable resource, you can grab some banners here and help spread the word.

What is your favorite WordPress resource site?

So ShareWP is going to be a social bookmarking/social networking site related to all things related WordPress? Sounds like a good idea, as there are a TON of WordPress enthusiasts on the internet. I’ll have to check this out.

BTW, your link for the banners seems to be broken.

That’s pretty cool. I’m personally not much of a Wordpress guy because I am just way to cheap to pay for hosting.

    Thanks VB Tips,

Too bad you’re not a WP guy, let me know if you’d like any help. By the way, you’ve got a nice site going over there and I actually have some related domains. Maybe we could discuss their development sometime…

    Hi Ritchie,

Yeah, unfortunately it seems that this site isn’t currently providing the service it once was. However, as referenced by Stuart above, WP Scoop is alive and kicking and a great resource for WP related material. I highly recommend checking them out.

    Hi WPM,

From the comments it looks like we have a few Blogger fans, not that thats a problem as that is where I started.

I will check out WPShare, but I still think one of the best resources (especially for those of you new to WP) is the Wordpress Forum. I know it is not as active as it once was, but there is still some great advice on there.

    Good luck All

    Hi WPM,

I am glad to hear about these kinds of resources (WPShare). I think that some people have become a little bit complacent and forget just what Wordpress has done for us bloggers.

Other platforms are coming along but WP is the original and still the best.

    Karma to you,

    Dagenham Dave

    @Dagenham Dave,

I think you’re right that people need to be reminded of where they would be in their web development if WordPress (and other great Open Source software) didn’t exist.

Thanks for the comment Dave, and take care:)

I know that I would be totally lost without Wordpress. I only recently started playing with it, but once I got over the learning curve, it made putting a post up downright fun.

Great site, by the way. I just stumbled onto it while I was researching possibilities for what can be done with the platform. It looks like there’s a lot of useful information here, which is just what I need right now.

I agree a hundred 100% about wordpress being the best platform there is, although I have no experience with other platforms e.g. joomla, etc.

The thing is, wordpress is being actively upgraded regularly and it’s becoming better and better at every update. I love it.
